Cost Management- CST
 
The Cost Management (CST) application provides a full absorption-cost accounting system for use by the Inventory, Work in Process, Purchasing, and Order Entry applications. CST calculates the values and variances of each transaction and keeps a current, perpetual valuation for each item inventory balance.

The main features of Cost Management include the following:

  • Standard, average, and activity-based costing.
  • The capability to create and maintain item costs by cost element and sub-element.
  • Bill of material cost rollup by cost type.
  • Inventory transaction costing.
  • Work in Process costing (perpetual balances and transactions).
  • Revaluation for cost changes.
  • Valuation of perpetual inventory balances.
  • Project and flow manufacturing.
  • WlP and INV transaction and variance journal entries to GL.
